There is more than one way to remember a place
The photograph of a landmark may be the first thing you share when you get home. But another memory can stay just as clearly: a conversation on the journey, a familiar song in the car or the moment everyone finally sat down together.
Notice the small things
The colours of a street, the sound of a river and the changing light can become part of your own story of a place. A journey does not need a remarkable event every hour to feel special.
Make space for different perspectives
Ask your companions what they enjoyed most. Their answers may be entirely different from yours. Looking back together can reveal moments you missed and give familiar photographs a new meaning.
Keep something personal
A few lines in a notebook or a caption written in your own words can preserve how a day felt. Long after the itinerary is filed away, those small details can bring the journey back.
